It’s Been A While

Hey everybody, haven’t written anything to the blog in a while, mainly because I’ve been busy with school.  I’ve been working on a whole slew of new music.  Me and SkiLLz finished “Cool You Down” finally, its up on his MySpace at http://myspace.com/ballanares Go listen to it.  Me and Nappy J also finished a song entitled “She’s Da One”, you can listen to it at http://myspace.com/nappynusyt So go listen!!!  I have also been working on some of my own songs, such as “The Path I Walk”, “Do Dat Thang”, and “Miss U”.  I have a good 6-7 songs that are on the way.  I’m moving right along with this next album.  It may (but may not) be done by the end of this year!  I’m not skimping on quality though, so the album will be just as good if not better than my second album.  I will keep you all posted on how things are going.  But keep a watch on my MySpace music profile’s status, I update it with new tracks more often then I can write on here.  So watch it.  But thanks for reading, thanks to all the fans and supporter!!!  Peace!

Keep Moving Forward

Right off the bat, I wanna say that I’m sick of it.  I’m sick of trying to support myself but NOBODY IN MY HOMETOWN EVEN WANTS TO HELP ME GO ANYWHERE!!!!  I post millions of bulletins, comments, and status updates about my music, and they just pass over them like any other update.  Where you at guys?  Want me to remember you when I get big if your not gonna at least read what I’m saying?  Don’t think so.  Look at it this way, I’m getting somewhere with this.  I’m collaborating with many artists, I know people who know major signed artists and could potentially get me the BIG status I’m longing for.  So honestly, If your not gonna help me get big or if you are just going to ride the train thinking your gonna be known for “knowing” me, I have nothing to do with you.  You mean nothing to me if you like me just because you think I’m going to end up some millionaire or something.  WHAT IF I DONT?  YOU GONNA JUST DROP ME AND MOVE ON?  Fine then.  At least I have people who love me for me and love that I’m living my ambition to become an artist, and not JUST an artist, a GOOD artist.  I won’t be some “YUAGGHH” Soulja Boy that got famous for a stupid dance move.  I will get famous for actually being a good artist, one that even old people would listen to.  That’s my goal here, to become an artist that anybody would listen to.  And so far, I’m doing pretty good. Thanks to the fans and supporters I do have.  You all are the motivation that keeps me going and keeps me pursuing my dream of being an artist.  I’m doing this for all of you all!!!  Thanks for believing in me!!!

Slowly, but Steadily

Today, I went to VHCC and got my schedule sorted out.  Tomorrow, I will go and get financial aid sorted out.  College, HERE I COME!!!

Anyway, yesterday, SkILLz sent me a beat for an RnB/Hip-Hop song he wants to do.  The title is “Cool You Down”.  This track is going to be fire, I spent a few hours last night recording the chorus for it, and I must say, it is awesome.  Here is the YouTube video:

So yeah, I spent a good hour or 2 working on this track, and I love the way the vocals turned out.  I will keep you all posted on how it’s going.  Other than that song, I’ve been trying to finish up some of the songs I have yet to complete. I have a good 3-4 songs that have a verse or 2 and a chorus, but aren’t completely written.  Hopefully, I can get some of those done today!!!!  Keep looking on here for updates, I will keep you all posted!!!!!  Thanks!!!

The Daily Agenda…..for today

So, today, I get to go out and pick up my sister, bring her back home.  She went to work with mom and she doesn’t wanna be there lol.  After that, probably come back home and work on some more music a little bit.  I’ve been working on a lot of tracks with SkILLz, and I’ve met a new rapper.  His name is Suspect, he’s worked with D-Pryde and a few others.  The tracks on his myspace are ill, this dude has some major flow lyrically and his voice fits every beat he does.  So, I’m gonna try to work with him.  I made a beat last night sampling a girl’s voice clip from Windows Live Messenger that she sent me.  We were just goofing off and she sends me a clip saying “Yea, I’m Totally Jealous Cause You Got That Swag”.  So, made a beat out of it, song name is gonna be “Got That Swag” lol.  Going to be a fun track to drop.  Anybody interested in hopping on it with me, email me.  So anyway, after the music, I’m going to the mall at 7:30 to get fitted for a tux.  It’s going to be for my friend Alex’s wedding.  Don’t know when thats going to be, but we shall see.  Anyways, I’m off for now.  I’ll keep you all posted as the day goes about.  Thanks for reading!!!

Collaboration with new artists

I have recently (today) come into contact with a few new rappers I’ve listened to.  They are underground, just like me, but they know what they are doing, they have the skill I want for my tracks.  PopStar and Da Rambla are the two new artists I have contacted about collaboration.  I have listened to their music, I must say, they have good lyricism and vocals.  I picked these two artists because they are still underground, their profiles are lacking plays, BUT they are good.  Just haven’t been discovered yet.  I sent Da Rambla two of my beats today, just to let him hear them and see if he could write to them.  He will be sending a beat or two to me so I can listen and potentially write to.  PopStar is getting new equipment, so I’m waiting on that, then we will get into some business.  No other information, other than I have created a Facebook fan page.  It is similar to my MySpace music page, except for the fact there is no custom HTML coding, and I can post all the links I want to keep people updated with all the new music (much like this blog, except with a music player).  I will keep you all posted on all the new stuff to come!!!! I am working on so many new tracks right now, I am quite busy.  But I will do my best to keep this updated with all the progress.  Thanks for reading.

First of many blog posts…

Ok, so this is my first official blog post on my Blogger account.  This is a much easier way for me to update stuff without having to sign into the web and post a short twitt/myspace status update, and it’s much nicer and laid out better.

Ok so enough of that, let me get down to business.

Recently, I’ve been in the “studio” recording tracks, making new beats, working with plenty of artists.  I’ve been really busy, barely had time to work with very many artists at the same time.  I’ve had a lot of spare time in my current situation to work on music though, so I am thankful for that.  I’ve been working with such artists as Jmannie, Nappy J, K.Antibus, and SkILLz.  These artists are few of the good producers and rappers out there.  I don’t work with just anybody, I work with people who I have a good relationship with and who know what they are doing and what they are going for in music.  Currently, I am working on my next CD “I’m Right Here”.  The plot is about how far I’ve come with my music, and how far I have went along the path’s in my life.  The actual plot is way more detailed then that, and the tracks will reflect the story.  For now, I’m going to leave you all hanging, wanting more lol.  By the way, check out the new sample of “The Path I Walk”, it’s on my music page @ www.myspace.com/trypmynemusic  or a direct link to the mp3 sample http://limelinx.com/files/28612173f703e5d6e8d33d6565eb96ba Go listen now!!!  Thanks everybody for your support.  Blessings!!!
